Listen to more and let us know if you have questions that didn’t get asked in this episode. We’ll make sure to get it on the next one!

Amy:

Hi. It’s Amy. I’m with Think Creative. I’m here today at Colley Ford with Lee Cook. He is the service manager here. Hi, Lee.

Lee:

Hi, Amy.

Amy:

How are you doing today?

Lee:

I’m doing great. How are you?

Amy:

I’m good. Thanks. Thanks so much for joining us.

Lee:

Of course.

Amy:

Yeah. It’s a pleasure to get a chance to talk to you. So tell us a little bit to start with just about yourself, your background, how you got started in the service industry, what brought you to Colley Ford?

Lee:

I grew up around cars. My grandfather and uncles were in the car business as long as I can remember. And it’s kind of funny because growing up I didn’t want to get int he car business, and the harder I tried to get out of it, the more I got drawn into it.

Amy:

So how did you try and get out of it?

Lee:

Oh, man, I looked at every possible job and career outside of the car business. I came really close to becoming a sheriff.

Amy:

Oh, wow. Okay.

Lee:

And trying to do anything but the car business, but I found that with growing up in the car business, I had great understanding, and as I started in the service side, when customers had questions or concerns, I knew their answers. And it was actually pretty easy for me to make a living at it.

Amy:

Okay. I think if you find something that’s easy to make a living at, that is a blessing.

Lee:

It definitely is.

Amy:

All right. So how did you get to Colley Ford?

Lee:

I’ve known the Colley family since I was in junior high school. And having basically grown up in the car business and working in Ford dealers for 20 plus years, the opportunity came up, and I called C.J. and we had a couple of conversations, and about a month later I’m working here. And it’s going on two years now, and it’s fantastic. Great family to work for. Great store. They truly care about their employees and their customers. I couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Amy:

Wow. I seem to be hearing that a lot around here so that’s great. Yeah.

Lee:

I absolutely believe that.
